Ahhh, the joys of summer! Baseball, cookouts, swimming, camping and of course the fine art of  boozing. If boozing is indeed your summer activity of choice, may I suggest you shake things up a bit and draw some inspriration from the above cocktails created by my friend Amelia and her boyfriend Eric. Amelia just finished her first year of grad school at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Eric is a lawyer and the two live in an adorable apartment, on an adorable block in the adorable neighborhood of Park Slope in Brooklyn. With school out for the summer the two toyed with the idea of taking a mixology class, but then decided to forgo the classes and simply teach themselves with a few books and a supremely stocked personal bar. That ocean of booze behind the drink in the last pic is a glimpse of the liquor acquired for their new hobby. These two aren't playing! Looks like all their efforts have paid off because each of the drinks they have made looks amazing and worthy of being on the Mad Men set.

Good Lord, Emma Stone has the world in the palm of her hands! The girl has been in two movies with Ryan Gosling, dates Andrew Garfield, is the darling of Hollywood, and looks equally gorgeous as a blonde and a redhead. Just when I thought her life couldn't get any better, she steps out at the Spiderman Paris premiere in this Gucci goth angel number. I've been lusting over this dress since I first laid eyes on it and I even devoted this post to it. I would hate her, but she is just to adorable.

I am very happy to share with you one very stylish Louisiana native, jewelry designer and girl-about-town, Genevieve Jones. Using a fun array of bright hues and prints, Jones craftly creates the perfect party ensemble and by the looks of her New York City apartment, she follows the same rules when decorating. I love the open airiness of her place and how it is scattered with sentimental items, treasures from travels, and playful touches.
