Plaid, floral, oversized, layered, cropped, leopard, patchwork, leather, and mixed prints galore were all essential elements in this collection by Phillip Lim, which played like a love song to my childhood decade of the 90's. The 90's look is nothing new, after being seen in the past few seasons, but this collection shows that the look is still going strong and I for one am pleased.

Ja'May's Got It Goin On
Despite all the damage, destruction and irritation Hurricane Isaac caused, it did have a few perks. One being, I got to see my New Orleans friends!!! My favorite little evacuee, Ja'May, dazzled me so with her wardrobe choice for a coffee outing that I just had to share. Big O sunglasses +curly top + fucking bad ass Grace Jones tee = perfection. There's your math lesson for the day. Learning aside, I am glad that all the N.O. crew is back home and safe. Miss you and hope to see you soon!
P.S. I must give Jen Wasson a little credit for having the best t-shirt taste on the planet!

The Power of Kenny at Fashion Week
Hmmm, is it just me or does it seem like Kenny Powers was the inspritaion behind the styling of the Rag & Bone show? The hair I can kind of get behind, but after growing up in the South I can't ever support those Nascar fan sunglasses.
Sprang has Sprung
Good God, it's Fashion Week again and it literally seems like the last one was just a minute ago. Oh to be one of the beautiful people scrambling to feast on the designers latest creations. Must be bliss!
