It's The Magical Mystery Kind

A couple months ago my friends, Nicole, Melissa, and I took a little road trip to the land of Elvis, blues, and BBQ, to see our friend Hannah and to attend an Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros show. The show was amazing and we loved spending time with Hannah, who is a cupcake baking, art school graduate, and she also happens to own a coveted collection of Domino magazines, which she kindly let me borrow. Need less to say it was a good time with great music and an array of delicious food including: sweet pork nachos, crispy fried chicken, blueberry strussel muffins, bbq sandwiches, creamy chai tea sprinkled with nutmeg, and the best waffles ever! While we ate a ton, we didn't get to do much shopping due to a lack of time, but I did manage to pick up a few soft striped tees and I finally found a bowler hat that met my liking after searching for months. We hope to go back soon, and next time we will make time to hit up all of the small town antique stores along the drive. Can you imagine all the treasures we could find!

-Melissa and Hannah
-The Beauty Shop, where Priscilla Presley once got her hair done, is now a delicious restaurant. I love how they still use the hair dryer chairs mixed with distressed Louis chairs.
-If you haven't heard Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, please look them up, because you are in for a treat. The band was so grateful for the fans and after the show they did an impromptu  acoustic gig outside the venue until the police were called.
- Me admiring this fan who got the lead singer, Alex, to kiss her on the lips twice!
-We got to take a picture with Alex!!!! I hope he didn't notice creepy me stroking his hand.
-On our last night we went to this beautiful old Victorian house that has been re birthed into this insane bar decked out with beautiful vintage furniture, incredible light fixtures, blown up black and white photos of celebrities from the 60's and 70's and cow hide rugs scattered over dark hard wood floors. It really was the epitome of my dream house!
-One of my best girls ,Nicole, and I taking a break from checking out the Lady Gaga look alike celebrating her birthday at Molly Fontaines. Gaga was kind enough to offer us some of her birthday cupcakes.
