If I could have been born in any place in the whole world it would definitely be London, England.  I don't exactly remember when my fascination began, but ever since I was a little girl I have always dreamed of being British. And can you really blame me, I mean come on the accents, the music, the style,  the people, who wouldn't want to be British.  I have only  meet about three British people in my whole life and its truly amazing how an accent can totally change how you look at a person.  When I was seventeen I meet this man in Mexico who was not my type at all.  My friend, who knows of my obsession, alerted me that he was from England and I bombarded him with questions and swore I would marry him.  Another time at a hotel in Los Angeles I found myself talking to a 15 year old kid. Now please understand, I would normally never have anything to say to a teenage boy, but I chatted with him for nearly 20 minutes when I found out he was on holiday across America with his Mum and sister.

Besides the accents, my favorite thing about the Brits would have to be their style.  British girls just always seem to look so stylish with a bit of edge that gives them that cool, not totally put together look that always looks effortless.  This is why when it comes to magazines I tend to prefer the British ones that unfortunately cost double the price of the American versions.  All in all its not that I don't like being American, its just that there are some British things that I prefer.  For instance, having an American flag pillow, no thanks, but a Union Jack one, well that would be cute.  And I know everyone here lives off  coffee, which I can't stand, but I love to enjoy a cup of afternoon tea.  The American Office, yes it is good , but for me it does not hold a candle to the British version.  And having Presidents is diplomatic, but Kings, Queens, Princes, and Princesses are just more magical!

I'm sure after reading this you are getting antsy for a Brit fix. If you can't make it across the pond anytime soon, may I make these few suggestions.  Listen to Unknown Pleasures, by Joy Division, go rent one of my favorite British movies, Me Without You, and why not browse Topshop.com for a nice holiday party dress. Trust me, you'll thank me later!
