Today I'm Wearing...

Ever wonder what it would be like to have a peek at your favorite fashion muse's everyday wardrobe? Well if you are like me, British Vogue.com sure read our minds when they created their new online segment "Today I'm Wearing".  Each month they feature a new style setter who sends in photos and gives a play by play of their outfits for everyday that month. They started out with a bang giving February's honor to the one and only Alexa Chung.  Other participants have been Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Olivia Palermo, and Daisy Lowe. Here are a few of my favorites from Alexa and Rosie. To find out everything they are wearing check out British Vogue for yourself. Can't wait to see who they have in store for June!

WIN A GIFTCARD TO CSN.COM!!!!!!!!!

Last summer I was on the search for the perfect upholstered headboard for my freshly painted Tiffany blue boudoir.  After Googling "upholstered headboards," I was lucky enough to come across the perfect cream colored tufted headboard at csn.com. They have everything from tv stands, furniture, home decor and so much more! Not only was the headboard on csn.com exactly what I wanted, but to my surprise it was also completely affordable!  Every other headboard I found that was to my liking was well over my budget, while this beauty fell slightly.  After my purchase, I anxiously awaited its arrival, and I was thrilled to find out that my headboard was just as glamorous in person as it was in the picture.  If you are looking for that perfect piece of furniture and accessories to spruce up your space, I strongly recommend that you check out  www.csn.com and their 200 plus stores. It is as simple as typing in your search and voila, you have an amazing list of traditional, contemporary, modern, and antique design options.  Many of the items are discounted, and as an added bonus, shipping is FREE! Here are a few of my favorite picks that csn has to offer.

Arched Headboard - An upholstered headboard has the same affect on a bedroom as a Chanel bag does for an outfit.  A classic that will always be luxurious.

Garland Light- This is edgy, cool, beautiful and delicate all at the same time. It is an interesting stunner that will surely become a conversation piece.

Armless Chair -This chair is a great piece to brighten up an otherwise dull room.  The floral pattern has a vintage feel and it is not too fussy.

Siamese Cat Lamp - I could not help myself. This lamp marries two of my favorites: kittens and the color pink!
Missoni Home Jo Cushion -I would normally never pay this much for a throw pillow, but it's Missoni, so that makes it all worth while. I would forgo several nights out to have a piece from the great Italian design house on my bed!

Crystal Chiavari Chairs - I absolutely adore these chairs and I want them in my dining room this very second.  I love the modern twist on the classic Chiavari chair, and it comes in eight fun colors. Brilliant!

Black Globe -I saw a beautiful vintage black globe for sale at a street flea market last summer when I was in New York, but it was out of my price zone.  Here is a look-alike at a fraction of the price.

Mirrored Nesting Tables - I love the art deco glamour of these nesting tables.  Display them together or separately for a versatile look.
Sparrow Salt and Pepper Shakers - Little works of art that will liven up your breakfast table!

Athena Chandelier -I think this chandelier would be beautiful  in a big bathroom.  It looks like a great flea market find find and gives off a much bigger impact than it's price.

I Want Them Painted Black

dress-Banana Republic, sunglasses-Ray-Ban, necklace-vintage, bracelet-Chan Luu, ring-Forever 21,watch- Timex, clutch-vintage, shoes-DV Dolce Vita

I like that this dress has a bit of a 60's, mod feel to it. It looks somewhat Twiggy-esqe, with the short hemline and geometric pattern.  When I bought it it was long-sleeved and I decided to make it short-sleeved so it would be more versatile and now I can wear it year around.  I also made a change to the platform shoes. I recently was on the hunt for the perfect pair of black platform sandals, that weren't too expensive. I really liked this pair, but I've never really been into the faux/wood/foamy soles. I bought them on the chance that I could paint the soles myself. My risk paid off, because my 99 cent black acrylic paint went on like a dream. I feel like the black sole, makes the shoes so much sleeker and more stylish.

AD

A few weeks ago I was at my friend Nick's house and he introduced me to AD Architectural Digest.  I had always thought that Architectural Digest mainly concentrated on architecture, rather than interior design, so I had never picked up a copy. Also, the last American issue had Gerard Butler on the cover, and that really did not appeal to me. AD is Architectural's foreign magazine and after reading Nick's Italian version, I rushed out to get a copy of my own.  I guess they change country's  every month, because I got the Spanish edition, which was just as amazing!  The issue was chock full of all my interior favorites: bright white walls, pops of vivid colors, vintage mixed with modern, playful elements, interesting art, and the list goes on and on. If you have any interest in home decor at all AD is the best $7.00 you could ever spend, because I promise you won't be throwing this magazine in the recycling pile. Can't wait till next month's issue!
